There’s a whole lot going on this summer in Sligo. From events to festivals, we’ve got all the details. There’s so much happening in Sligo for families, kids, teens and grownups all summer long, that we thought we’d give you a taster of some of our favourite events.

Só Sligo is a great annual foodie and family festival running from 11th – 15thJune, with kids and adults food workshops, talks, demonstrations, a Food Village and Street Fest. For more information go to www.sosligo.ie for details.

Yeats Day celebrates Sligo’s most famous poet’s birthday in style, with a host of events for children and families all around SLigo Town on the 13th June this year. See here for updated details, coming soon http://www.treadsoftly.ie/yeatsday/

Rosses Point Sea Shanty Festival promotes the musical heritage of the sea and aims to showcase the work of the RNLI. This festival runs from the 11th – 13th June. See www.rossespointshanty.com/index.html for more details

Sea Sessions Festival in Bundoran from kicking off on the 27th June boasts great live acts from The Dandy Warhols and Kelis for a music filled weekend. More details here http://seasessions.com/
